World’s Scientists Converge on Boston This Weekend
Where can you find 9,500 scientific reports on new advances in medicine, health, energy, environment, food, and other topics that involve chemistry? In Boston, where scientists from around the world are converging this weekend for one of the world’s biggest scientific conferences — the 234th national meeting of the American Chemical Society. With more than 160,000 members, ACS is the world’s largest scientific society. About 15,000 scientists and others are expected to attend the meeting, which runs from August 19-23, 2007, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and more than a dozen hotels across the city. This scientific extravaganza will include about 9,500 presentations on new discoveries in chemistry, health, medicine, energy, environment, food, and other fields.
